THE MINKO PROJECT INC aims to provide a unique service to the homeless population, existing organizations established to help them, and the Reno/Sparks, Nevada community as a whole.
We want to bridge the gap between those experiencing chronic homelessness and the people and organizations that have the programs and resources they need.
The Minko Project Inc proudly operates as a Mobilized Homeless Resource Lab.
By transforming into a mobile headquarters we are able to provide services to the homeless in a way that personalizes every encounter. Serving on the front lines, our approach demonstrates a true sense of compassion delivered from the heart.
Please join us by supporting our efforts to make a measurable difference in the lives of others.

What do we do?
Compassion. A new approach.
Founded on April 29th, 2020, our initial goal was to offer temporary shelter in a campground setting located in the heart of the area of the Truckee River most affected by chronic homelessness.
Once we got a closer look at the needs, focus and interests of other organizations in the community we decided to make some adjustments. While eventually we still want to operate a homeless resource camp, we have realigned our immediate goals....
A crucial component of our operation is the ability to be as fluid as the people we serve. Our plan is to develop relationships with the individuals that have experienced homelessness on a chronic, long-term scale.
A compassionate understanding of the complexities surrounding chronic homelessness will ultimately bridge the gap between homeless populations and the communities they are part of.
The Minko Project Inc intends to maintain this focus through experience, dedication, perseverance, respect, loyalty, curiosity, kindness, and unconditional love.

A Unique Approach
THE MINKO PROJECT INC wants to help reverse the growing population of individuals experiencing chronic homelessness in the Reno/Sparks Community.
The idea is to be an organization that offers something to look forward to; in turn, reigniting ones sense of personal responsibility and well-being.
Many of the people that are homeless in Reno/Sparks have been in that position for an extended period of time and it has become customary. Most will choose to remain homeless over seeking help from a shelter.
Ultimately, this is not a solution that can be accepted given its current health and environmental risk to the entire community.
