MINKOS MEALS
Healthy. Tasty. Convenient.
While we are committed to our main focus and operation as a Mobilized Resource Center, we are aware of the ever expanding needs of our homeless community.
Did you know that countless memebers of our homeless population depend on discarded food from various dumpsters around Reno/Sparks, NV to survive? We intend to eventually have the capacity to sustain a free dailly hot meal service for as many as are in need of a meal.
OUR GOAL IS TO SERVE 3 MEAL LOCATIONS DAILY AT VARIOUS POINTS ALONG THE TRUCKEE RIVER COORIDOR.
We believe that the convenience and accessibility of a hot meal will encourage those that don't usually seek out food resources; those that resort to unhealthy means of obtaining food.

Be the Solution
We see every challenge as an opportunity! Communication, developing trusted relationships, maintaining a connection, and making an impact are vital components required to successfully reach those experiencing chronic homelessness.
NEIGHBORS is a program designed with 3 focused initiatives
1. Positively influence the homeless population to collectively improve the standards for what is deemed acceptable in the homeless community.
2. Create an educational and hands-on environment where the homeless population has an opportunity to experience the solution.
3. Build a platform of self-awareness, self-empowerment, and self-love creating opportunity for an improved quality of life.
Who are our NEIGHBORS?
In order to become a member of NEIGHBORS you must meet the following qualifications:
1. Have a Homeless Living Status in the Reno/Sparks community
2. Be actively engaged in Minko's Resource Lab Services.
3. Complete 20 SERVICE HOURS PER WEEK MINIMUM
4. Be 18 or Older
